DES PTO
At Discovery Elementary, the PTO serves as a bridge between families, teachers, and the school community, working together to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every child can thrive. Guided by our commitment to collaboration and service, we encourage parent involvement, provide meaningful support to educators, and enrich the academic and social experiences of our students. By fostering strong partnerships and living out our core values of respect, engagement, and community, the PTO helps ensure that Discovery Elementary is not just a school, but a place where every child’s potential is nurtured and celebrated.

DES PTO Board Members
The Discovery Elementary PTO Executive Board is honored to serve our school community during the 2025–2026 school year. Together, we are committed to fostering strong connections between families, staff, and administration while creating opportunities that support the growth and success of every student.
Our board operates as a team rooted in servant leadership, collaboration, and transparency. Each member brings unique strengths, but our collective purpose is the same: to build an inclusive, supportive, and thriving school community.

Strengthen Communication & Engagement
Maintain open and transparent communication with families, staff, and administration while ensuring PTO information is accessible and easy to navigate.

Invest in programs and initiatives that enhance academics, creativity, social-emotional development, and the holistic needs of our students.

Practice Responsible Stewardship
Manage PTO resources with integrity by aligning financial planning with our mission and maintaining accountability in all spending decisions.

Grow Membership & Volunteerism
Welcome more families into the PTO community through inclusive membership opportunities, accessible volunteer roles, and consistent appreciation of contributions.

Elevate Fundraising & Community Partnerships
Build on established traditions while introducing new initiatives that bring families together, generate sustainable revenue, and strengthen community connections.

Moving Forward Together
The PTO thrives on teamwork, our board members, , volunteers, caregivers, teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians and extended family all play a vital role in shaping the student experience. This year, we look forward to working alongside each of you to create meaningful memories, provide enriching opportunities, and ensure that every child at Discovery Elementary has the support they need to flourish.

Mission
The mission of the Discovery Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (DES PTO) is to create and nurture a strong and collaborative partnership between families, school staff, and the broader school community. This is achieved by actively encouraging and facilitating parent involvement in various activities, providing support to teachers in their efforts, and ultimately enriching the educational experience for every child enrolled at the school. Through these initiatives, we strive to foster a sense of community and shared purpose in promoting the success and well-being of all students.
